One of my favorite things, besides fabric (of course) and print/pattern (of course) is color.
I LOVE COLOR!
I remember opening up my new crayon box and sitting there studying the crayons as if they were color chips. I didn’t dare use my favorite colors, and, ummmm, every color was my favorite! 🙂 Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have multiple sets of crayons. There was one that was dedicated for “show only”. Kind of like your mom’s “good scissors” that were only for fabric. I still think twice before using my scissors – every time!!!
Things haven’t changed much, I still love staring at color and I found my niche working here! I’m so lucky!
So…when I saw this collection of “basics” or “blenders” by Dan Morris, I immediately fell in love. This is my visual Ode to Scrollscapes and I hope you enjoy it!

This is my favorite color from Scrollscapes, Teal! It’s so pretty!!!

Below, I took samples from the fabric to show the variations within the selvedge to selvedge repeat! So many great options. It’s really a bunch of fabrics in one!

I’ll be back next week to talk a little more about colors, color stories and how to pick the perfect palette for your next project!
Next week, I’ll announce a new contest where you could be the winner of a fat quarter of each of these colors! Come on back, we want to spoil you with fabulous, colorful, Scrollscapes fabrics!
Sunset is still my favorite color, and rainbow is second.

Until next time…Use QT to create something that is fabulous…something fantastic… something FABTASTIC!
Sun is my favorite color in the palate. Yellow is such a happy color, it lifts yours spirits and makes you smile every time.

I would like to pick orange put really when it comes right down to it one color is just not okay. I goes together with lots of colors. When you make a quilt you make it with many great colors. Each color looks great together, so to me I love them all. Merry Christmas

I like evergreen and cobalt the best, but they are all beautiful.

That is really a hard choice! If I had to choose one I would probably say the Cobalt, but I can think of so many ideas with all the colors to play with and offset each other.
