I had grandeur plans thinking I would blog every night about my adventures on the road with our Sales Manager, Kevin.  That being said, I had an awesome week-long adventure and I am back in the office ready to share!

Another great shop along on our road trip adventure was Quilt Farm.  This big barn of a shop has been in business since 1989 and features tons of space filled with fabulous fabrics.  Everything you need to get inspired for your next project is here, plus warm and friendly people to advise you!

Isabelle Schmitt, the owner, had just finished canning fruit when we arrived and gave me a tour. I was in awe as the space was never-ending.  There is a Christmas room and a charity quilt section, a large kitchen upstairs as well as a wonderful classroom space.  I was truly impressed with the layout and flow of this converted dairy barn.   If you are ever in the area, you must visit, not only for the fabric and the quilts and the wonderful company… look at this gorgeous road-side vista.   It was breathtaking!

Upon arrival, I knew this shop was going to be a treasure.  The atmosphere is so friendly and there are so many delightful places to turn!  I appreciated the section organized by color (color-geek that I am) but every nook had a purpose.  It was such fun to explore!

I will be back to this shop!  I intend to take a lovely road trip with my husband and explore this part of upstate New York some more.  It was great to stop and visit but I wasn’t able to linger as long as I wanted.  The homey feeling, the extensive amounts of fabrics and patterns and quilts, definitely tugged on my heart-strings to return!
