The wonderful thing about quilt shops is there are no two alike.  In my Northeast jaunt, I discovered so many wonderful shops, and found that The Carriage Quilt Shop is like a second home.  Prepare to be welcomed with open arms and smiling faces.. and candy!   I think their business card says it all… Fabric, books, custom designs, machine quilting, giggles and more…  

Sue and Linda, with their bright and shining personalities and passion for fabric, have an infectious spirit that make you want to hang out and “giggle” until your heart smiles!

I was fortunate enough to hang out for a few hours with Kevin, our Sales Manager and these lovely ladies.  We were showing them the latest fabrics and were joined by their entourage of spirited friends and family.  Samantha, Sue’s daughter, is a new quilter.  Finally catching the quilting bug after years of hopeful persuasion by her mom!  Now, she is unstoppable – check out her quilt below – amazing for a new designer, no?

It was wonderful to see the group’s reactions to the new designs; it reinforces why we do what we do!  We love sharing our passion for fabrics with shop customers and their customers!!!

In addition to my new human friends, I have a new Minion pal here!  This is a clever use of a panel!  Using a 36″ x 45″ panel, some coordinating fabrics and lots of stuffing… this  great standing pillow came to life!  Mr. Minion is super popular in the shop.  I wasn’t sure if I would be able to say goodbye… he’s so squeezable!

The Carriage Quilt Shoppe has a wonderful variety of fabrics.  We were so excited to see our Sew & Go Santa Claus Apron panel on display!

Another great display was using our ArtWorks digital print – is that a HD TV?  No, it’s s digital print panel!  🙂  

Another clever idea…  They took our Ink & Arrow Cat’s Meow fabric and used fabric markers to color in the cats… how fun!  Customize your own tote bag like this!

We had a wonderful time with everyone here.  This shop is in a wonderful town – lots of quaint shops and wonderful restaurants.  I am excited to see what they have in store for the next 18 years!  Make sure you stop in and tell them we said hello!
