Giving Back

Last week we gave thanks and while it’s important to always be thankful and appreciative, it’s even more important to give back!   We were inspired by the idea of “Giving Tuesday” where it’s now customary to follow up on Thanksgiving and Small Business Saturday … Continue reading Giving Back

We are thankful…

Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.                                                                —-Ralph Marston

There is always… always something to be thankful for.

As a little thank you for being a friend of Ink & Arrow fabrics, we asked our employee-owners to share some of their favorite recipes.   Most of us have a recipe we always bring to the family gathering, party or pot-luck.  What fun it is to try a new dessert or dish at a gathering and get the recipe!   It’s a lovely way to share your tradition with others.

Here are a few… get out the elasticized waist pants … 🙂

Justina from customer service makes this yummy flan every Thanksgiving and Christmas for her family and friends.   Flan, a traditional Puerto Rican dessert is featured in several variations on this great website, www.elboricua.com

I can’t wait to make this for my Friendsgiving!

Irene, from our accounting department, loves to share these treats with her family!  It’s a copy-cat of a “Starbucks” recipe from  Let the Baking Begin!

Such a festive looking dessert!

P.S., I just tasted one of these yummies because Irene brought them into the office – ummm…  sooooooooooo good!!!!  Thanks for the morning pick-me-up treat Irene!!!

Kerri had a few to share and how could we choose just one?  The first is a fall favorite at her house, Rachel Ray’s Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread.   YUM.

Next up… Dark. Chocolate. Fudge…  Enough said 🙂

Here’s a clever recipe from our Regional Sales Manager, Coby.  For those of us with zero time to cook 🙂

Garlic Dill Cottage Cheese:untitled-2

-buy a container of 1% small curd cottage cheese
-remove the freshness seal & scoop into a bowl
-shake in garlic salt and dill
-stir a bit…& repeat previous step
(if you want it strong…repeat it one more time)

Flavored cottage cheese…you are welcome America!  🙂

Ann, a Regional Sales Manager sent along this  Mango Chicken Salad that she makes very often.   Get togethers, family events or quilting meet-ups!  While the original recipe only serves 2, Ann assures us it’s easy to crank up the quantities for a FEAST!

This may be my new favorite recipe 🙂

Glenn, one of our Network Administrators, shared his Nana’s meatball recipe.  What a treasure!  Such a wonderful tradition to pass along family recipes… who doesn’t love good old fashioned Nana, Grandma or  Great Grandma’s cooking?!?

Cyndi, our Creative Manager wanted to share her scrumptious Shoo Fly Cake recipe!  It’s always a big hit!  No photographs were available as the cake is often eaten up so quickly 🙂

Larry, one of our Regional Sales Managers, sent along his Cranberry Sauced recipe and it sounds delish…

Finally… I  wanted to share my favorite recipe of all time… my Spinach & Artichoke Dip!   I bring it to every occasion and it’s never left over!!!
